  • Jannie, is a Professional Civil Engineer who graduated in 1987 at the University of Pretoria and held a BCom (Accounts) degree from the University of South Africa.
  • He founded a construction company during 1996, specialising in “not the run of the mill” engineering projects. The focus was on infrastructure (mining, rail, and telecommunication), contract mining and designs and building in difficult / remote locations with special emphasis on fast-track projects.
  • The company was sold to a JSE listed company during 2009 and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the listed company. It successfully concluded some very prestigious Soccer World Cup projects, i.e., the upgrade of the Free State Stadium, the main access road to Bloemfontein Airport, and the Saldanha to Sishen Electrical Upgrade. Jannie acquired the mining business from the listed company of which he is Co-CEO.
