Veli Mcobothi
- Veli is the founder and CEO of Cinga Capital. He currently serves as non-executive director on the board of Value Group Limited. Veli has been involved in providing strategic input and execution on transactions mandated by Cinga since inception.
- Prior to founding Cinga, he was a Private Equity Dealmaker at Investec Bank Limited (“Investec”). While at Investec he started and ran the Africa Division and during his tenure he served as a non-executive director on various boards including Shanduka Holdings, Litha Healthcare, MSG Afrika Holdings and African Revival Investment Holdings. Other roles within the private equity space include Head of Principal Investment at Andisa Capital and an Associatee at Medu Capital.
- While at Investec, Veli originated and executed several transactions including the acquisition of DCD Dorbyl, most successful private equity investment in Investec Private Equity. Veli participated in Investec transactions that oversaw acquisitions of various businesses in South Africa as well as other African countries across various sectors.
